Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence for Biomedical Sciences
The MS in Artificial Intelligence for Biomedical Sciences is an interdisciplinary graduate program designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills at the intersection of AI and biomedical sciences. Offered through the Department of Mathematical Sciences in the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the program emphasizes statistical modeling, machine learning, and biomedical data analysis.
Students will gain expertise in AI techniques, including machine learning and deep learning methods, as well as biostatistical methods, and their applications to human health.

All application materials must be received by December 15 for first-round consideration of scholarships and fellowships. Applications will continue to be accepted for later rounds until the regular university deadline.

Applicants to the Artificial Intelligence for Biomedical Sciences master’s degree program should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or another science or engineering discipline
- At least one semester each of calculus and statistics.
- A grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Test Scores: A GRE score is not required.
- International students with TOEFL scores less than 600 (paper test), 250 (computer test), or 100 (internet test) are admitted only under special circumstances. Scores must be less than two years old. See the Graduate Catalog for additional information regarding English proficiency requirements for international applicants.
