Program Description
The Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership and Management is tailored for working professionals aiming to advance in a dynamic healthcare environment. The program offers flexible scheduling options, including evening on-campus classes and online courses, allowing students to balance work, life and study. The curriculum integrates emerging technologies, including a dedicated course on artificial intelligence in healthcare. Prior healthcare experience is helpful but not required for admission.
The program’s mission is to prepare students to lead and thrive in a technology-driven healthcare landscape through industry-relevant research and community engagement. Students develop core competencies in leadership, communication, professionalism, healthcare knowledge and business skills.

Applicants to the Management Science master’s program should have:
- A bachelor’s degree from an institution in the United States, or its equivalent (all majors are considered).
- A grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 in both core and aggregate courses.
- Test Scores: A GRE/GMAT test score is not required, and students have the option to submit a test score if desired. A GRE/GMAT test score will only be used for admission purposes if one is provided by the applicant.
- Letters of Recommendation: Applicants must submit at least one letter of recommendation from an individual able to judge the candidate’s potential for success in the master’s degree program. The letter can be academic or professional.
- Admissions Essay: Applicants must submit an essay outlining their academic interests and professional goals.
- A resume.
- International applicants must submit a TOEFL score of at least 80 on the internet-based test. Scores must be less than two years old. See the Graduate Catalog for additional information regarding English proficiency requirements for international applicants.
